After spraining a rib muscle last week, Jana Kramer pushed through the pain to dance a sexy tango on week two of Dancing with the Stars.

The actress-turned singer re-visited her roots for TV Week of the hit show, dancing to the theme song of One Tree Hill, which she played the role of Alex Dupre for several seasons.

Dancing to “I Don’t Want to Be,” performed live by Gavin DeGraw, Kramer and partner Gleb Savchenko gave it all they had. While Kramer was noticeably in pain, their tango earned them an even better score than their first-week waltz.

“First of all, you’re a trooper. I know the pain that you’re going through,” judge Julianne Hough shared with Kramer. “Well done for just going out and giving it your best shot.”

Carrie Ann Inaba also praised the “Circles” singer for pushing through. “This is when you realize that dancing is truly a sport because that was a difficult routine to get through. I could see your pain the whole time….You gave it your all. Your heart was 1,000% there. Next week, I hope you feel better.”

Overall, Kramer and Savchenko earned a total of 29 points out of a possible 40.

DWTS returns tonight with the season’s first elimination at 8pm ET on ABC.
