Jana Kramer’s Husband Issues Public Apology Amid Cheating Accusations

Jana Kramer thought she had finally found the one when she met her current husband Mike Caussin. She tells People that she was “swept away” by him after they met in 2014.

The actress-turned-singer believed Mike was her one true love, especially after two failed marriages (the first of which ended with Kramer being left for dead outside of the Los Angeles area home she shared with Michael Gambino).

Things seemed to be going great for Kramer and Caussin. After a whirlwind romance, they tied the knot in Charlottsville, VA on May 22, 2015. The pair welcomed a baby girl, Jolie Rae, into the world on January 31 of this year. From the outside, they looked like a picture-perfect family, but it appears that was not the case as reports of Caussin’s infidelity have surfaced.

“Mike was the biggest of the betrayals because it was the first time in a relationship where I truly loved the version of me. I didn’t feel I had to prove that I was good enough, I was vulnerable and finally at peace with myself,” Kramer tells People. “But I was fooled.”

The pair separated in August and reports later surfaced that Caussin was cheating on the “Circles” singer. At the time of their separation, it was reported that Caussin had entered a rehabilitation center for undisclosed reasons.

For the first time since their very public separation, Caussin is speaking out. He issued a public apology exclusively to People, saying, “I acknowledge that certain actions and behaviors have caused issues in my marriage and I am deeply sorry for the pain I have caused Jana … I have and will continue to take the steps needed to change who I am as a person in order to be a better husband and father.”

In the meantime, Kramer is staying strong. She’s currently competing on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and playing shows around the country in support of her latest single.
