It appears Jason Aldean’s marriage is on the rocks.
A rep for the singer tells US Weekly, “I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share at this time. It’s a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way.”
The comment from Aldean’s rep comes after a source told the magazine that the pair recently separated. The separation has not been confirmed although his wife, Jessica Ussery, was noticeably absent at the 48th Annual ACM Awards earlier this month.
Aldean made headlines last year when he was photographed with former “American Idol” contestant Brittnay Kerr at a bar in Hollywood. He later apologized admitting, “I screwed up.”
Aldean and Ussery, who were high school sweethearts, wed in August of 2001. They have two daughters, Keeley and Kendyl.
