With one single emoji, Carrie Underwood revealed that she would be singing with Jason Aldean on the Georgia native’s new single, “If I Didn’t Love You.”
It all started with a post by Aldean, announcing that his new single would debut on Friday, July 23. But there was one hidden clue – who would be singing on the new track with him?
“We’ve got a brand new song coming your way this Friday! Who do y’all think is singing on this one with me?” he prompted, asking fans to leave their guesses in the comments.
Just a few hours later, Underwood took to the comments and posted one single emoji: the woman raising her hand.
“There ya have It! Can’t wait for y’all to hear it tonight at midnight,” replied Aldean, with fans also commenting their excitement.
The duet marks the latest for Aldean, who has previously collaborated with Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Ludacris and more. Likewise, Underwood has performed tracks with Brad Paisley, NEEDTOBREATHE, Lambert, among others.
“If I Didn’t Love You” is the follow-up to Aldean’s 25th Number One smash “Blame It On You.” The song landed in the top spot on both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck Singles chart and Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
