Jason Aldean Crowned Entertainer of the Year at ACM Awards

Jason Aldean had the most memorable evening of his career tonight (April 3), at the ACM Awards when he won Entertainer of the Year for the first time after several years of being nominated in the category.

“I was just starting to think this one wasn’t in the cards for me,” he confessed.

After thanking his label, producer, wife and kids, he also showed gratitude for country radio and country fans who he called “the best fans in the world.”

“I may be rough around the edges a little bit but I love this business,” he said. “This is one of the best nights in my professional career. Thank you very much. I love you.”

And with that, the awards show came to an end but not before Luke Bryan came on stage to pick up Aldean and swing him around with a hug in congratulations.

This is Aldean’s first Entertainer of the Year win.

The 51st Academy of Country Music Awards air live on CBS tonight.
