Jason Aldean is coming to the defense of his buddy Luke Bryan in the wake of comments made by Zac Brown in a recent radio interview. Aldean took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the subject.

“I hear some other artist are bashing my boy Luke Bryan’s new song, sayin’ it’s the worst song they have ever heard,” he wrote. “To those people runnin’ their mouths, trust me when I tell u that nobody gives a shit what u think. Its a big ol hit so apparently the fans love it which is what matters. Keep doin ur thing LB!!!”

The comments that Aldean is referring to came from Brown’s interview with Barbara Beam from 93.7 JRfm in Vancouver. After Brown admitted “There’s not a lot of the country format that I really enjoy listening to,” Beam asked Brown what he thought of Luke’s latest single, “My Kinda Night.” His candid response sparked a lot of debate.

“I love Luke Bryan and he’s had some great songs, but this new song is the worst song I’ve ever heard,” he said.

After news of his interview hit the web, Brown clarified his comments on Twitter saying, “My opinion is not about Luke as an artist, it’s about that song. He didn’t write it. I’m a fan of Luke, but definitely not that song.”
