Jason Aldean Appreciates the Invitation to Finish His Route 91 Set

"You wanna make sure that if you're gonna go back and play that show, that the people who were there, who were the victims and the families, those are the people that are getting to come to the show," Aldean said of the logistics.

When tragedy struck the Route 91 Harvest Festival, Jason Aldean among many others ran for cover to protect themselves from danger. As a result, the singer never played the rest of the show and fans want to see the end from Aldean on a high note.

It’s been almost six months since the mass shooting occurred in Las Vegas during the final performance of the Route 91 Harvest Festival. Shots rained down into the crowd during Aldean’s concert, abruptly stopping the event from continuing and causing heartache throughout the country community.

Not letting the fear get in the way of enjoying live music, many of the fans at the show extended the offer for Aldean to come back and finish what he started. The entertainer, though, remains thankful for the gracious opportunity.

“I completely understand where they’re coming from. I appreciate…I think it’s more of the gesture than anything. I appreciate the fact that they want us to come back and, you know, want us to finish our show and wanna come see it. You know, [it] means a lot to us. So, I appreciate that and we’ll just see what happens,” Aldean explained to NASH Prep.

Although Aldean is totally game for the idea of playing another show in honor of the horrific events that happened in Vegas, he wants to make sure they do it right by making the victims and their loved ones feel secure this time around.

“You wanna make sure that if you’re gonna go back and play that show, that the people who were there, who were the victims and the families, those are the people that are getting to come to the show. So, it’s a little bit of a process. It’s definitely something we’re open to, we’ve talked about it, we’ve had the discussions and [we’re] sort of headed down that road a little bit,” the singer reassured.

Aldean will first head out for the High Noon Neon Tour later this spring, which fans can find more information about on his website.
