Jason Aldean and Kane Brown recently got together at Aldean’s home to get some new ink. Both singers posted photos of their new tats, which were created by Ink Master’s Bubba Irwin. Aldean opted for a tattoo of palm trees going up his left arm, surrounding existing tattoos of his daughters’ names.
“Thanks to my dude @bubbaitattoos for making a house call today,” Aldean wrote in an Instagram post featuring photos of the tattoo. In a video on his Instagram story, Aldean noted that the tat was a “lil shoutout” to his Florida roots.
Also in Aldean’s story was a video of Brown getting his tattoo done, in which the singer seems to be trying to keep a smile on his face while in a bit of pain. Brown posted a video of his new tat, which is a detailed and lifelike gorilla on his left arm. He revealed that Aldean had a hand in creating the tattoo and posted a video of the moment on his story.
“@jasonaldean did his first ever tattoo on me and it’s pretty bad ass,” he wrote. “Lol nah he did one line my boy @bubbaitattoos did an amazing job!! Hit him up if u need a tattoo.”
In the comments, a fan asked Brown about the meaning behind the tattoo, to which he responded that he mostly got it because the gorilla is his favorite animal.
“No real meaning I’m part Cherokee and my fav animal is a silver back gorilla,” he writes. “I’m to a point now with tattoos that I just don’t care.”
Tattoo artist Irwin posted videos of both tattoos on his profile, noting that they both need some finishing touches and that Brown’s wife, Katelyn, is next.
