A&E Network is set to feature long-time comedy favorite Jeff Foxworthy in their award-winning Biography series. Airing on May 28, the two-hour TV special will give viewers a peek behind the personal lives of the beloved comedy figure and highlight his career journey to the top.

Beloved by many, Foxworthy has been a longtime fixture on many television shows at home, helming his very own The Jeff Foxworthy Show and hosting Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader. Across his career, Foxworthy has subverted typical southern stereotypes and given “rednecks” the permission to laugh at themselves in good humor. His personable character has made him a comedic staple as well.

Biography: Jeff Foxworthy – Stand Up Guy (Tuesday, May 28 at 10pm ET/PT) will unveil stories of the comedian’s personal life—which has been kept very private throughout his career—and feature interviews with Foxworthy’s manager Larry Burns and Jay Leno.

Additional Biography subjects will include Jeff Dunham (Biography: Jeff Dunham – Talking Heads, Tuesday, May 28 at 8pm ET/PT) and Chris Farley (Biography: Chris Farley – Anything for a Laugh, Monday, May 27 at 9pm ET/PT).

Foxworthy will also join the A&E family on a different special, called What’s It Worth? Live. The network has plans for eight two-hour specials that will allow viewers to bid on rare and valuable personal treasures in real time. Foxworthy will be joined by a team of experts to showcase the items, appraise them and but them up for bid. What’s It Worth? Live is coming to A&E soon.

A&E Network’s three new Biography documentaries will begin airing on May 27 at 9PM EST.
