Jennifer Nettles Inks Deal with Big Machine Label Group

Less than three weeks after announcing her departure from Universal Music Group (UMG), Jennifer Nettles has joined the Big Machine Label Group (BMLG). Nettles joins the labels impressive roster which includes artists such as Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Florida Georgia Line, and many more.

While Nettles is still linked to UMG’s Mercury imprint for any future Sugarland projects, her solo work will now be released through BMLG.

“This change is the first step on a path I’ve been wanting to take,” Nettles told Billboard after leaving UMG earlier this month. “I am so excited about the next part of my journey and I invite my fans to stay tuned.”

On top of a new record deal, Nettles is also working on a new movie. As we previously reported, she has been cast in the upcoming NBC TV movie, Dolly Parton‘s Coat of Many Colors. The movie will air December 10 at 9pm ET on NBC.
