Jennifer Nettles Opens Up About Her Pregnancy
Last month, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles revealed that she and her husband are expecting their first child this November. Like most pregnant women, Jennifer is feeling the effects of pregnancy, including intense cravings.
“I crave Mexican food, which [Los Angeles] has been the perfect place for that,” Jennifer told “Good Day LA.” “Anything salsa, spicy, I love that. Anything vinegar-y or tart, I love that. Fish tacos … I’m pretty much a free-for-all at this point. [laughs]”
Jennifer also faced roller coaster emotions for the first several months. “The first three months were a challenge, because we weren’t telling anyone and we were still working,” she recalled. “I cried all the time. I cried on the show. I begged the producers, I was like, ‘Please don’t make me that girl.’ And they didn’t know why, obviously. I mean, I am sensitive, but not that — I mean, I would cry at Olympics commercials and ridiculous things.”
The “Stuck Like Glue” singer doesn’t plan on slowing down once the baby is born either. “When baby comes, we’ll definitely have to do something [about the tour bus],” she said, adding, “I don’t know exactly when but I will be touring, because I love it so much.”
Nettles has a lot of exciting things going on, along with her pregnancy. She will be celebrating her first anniversary in November, and she was also the winning coach on the hit ABC show “Duets,” which ended Thursday night.
