Jerrod Niemann Prepares for Blake Shelton Cruise, Shares Packing List

The countdown continues as we enter the final 30 days until we set sail with Blake Shelton and friends for a cruise that promises to be one of those “you had to be there” experiences. One of the friends Blake has invited aboard is Jerrod Niemann.

CountryMusicIsLove caught up with the “Shinin on Me” singer and asked him what fans can expect and what he’s excited for during the seven days we’ll be on board the Norwegian Pearl.

“Just the madness,” Niemann says of what fans can look forward to most.

“First of all,” he continues, “I think Blake Shelton’s cruise is a mini-CMA fest because all year long we go to all these great cities and little towns and everybody shows us all the hospitality in the world. It’s really cool when CMA Fest rolls around it’s our chance to return the favor and hopefully show all the wonderful country music fans a good time and I think that’s what Blake probably had in mind with this deal. So we all get to hopefully hang out and have a great time for a week – if we survive – but I think the goal to this is for all of us to drink as much as we can right off the bat because there’s probably going to be so much alcohol on there that I don’t think it’s going to float. I’ll just chug a lot and pee off the side.”

Speaking of alcohol, we love “One More Drinkin’ Song” so we just had to ask: What is the best cure for a hangover? “My hangover cure is a bigger hangover,” he shares.

Recently, we told you what we will be packing, as well as what “I Ain’t Your Mama” singer Maggie Rose will be packing. We figured it was time to get some input for all you country boys out there so we asked Jerrod to tell us what five items he plans to have with him.

Jerrod’s five items to pack:

1. My floaties.
2. Drugs – I’d like to bring some children’s Tylenol.
3. A key chain liver. It’s like another spare liver on a key chain. I should probably bring that.
4. I might bring some suntan oil to rub on my gluteus maximus
5. Camo G-string for Lee [Brice]. I missed his birthday so I’m going to bring that for him.

Camo g-strings, non-stop Country music and seven days of sun in San Juan, St. Thomas, Tortola and Nassau. This is just some of the fun you can expect on what Blake has dubbed “the booze cruise.” If you haven’t signed up yet, we urge you to. This is going to be one country cruise you don’t want to miss!
