After more than four years of marriage, Jerrod Niemann and his wife Morgan Petek have called it quits.

The news was confirmed by Nash Country Daily, which reports that Petek filed for divorce on June 18, 2018, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The divorce was finalized on December 17, 2018.

“After spending over a decade together, we have decided to move forward separately,” the couple told PEOPLE in a statement. “We have learned and grown into the people we are today. We wish each other all the best in the future.”

According to the divorce decree, Niemann paid Petek a “$170,000 lump sum.” They also each kept their personal cars, while Petek assumed possession of a Nashville home she’d paid the mortgage on. Niemann was awarded a family trust, which included another Nashville property. Neither spouse will receive alimony or spousal support.

The couple tied the knot during a beachside ceremony in Puerto Rice in October 2014. They do not have any children together.

Petek often served as inspiration for Niemann’s music, most notably the motivation behind his hit “What Do You Want.” He last released an album, This Ride, in 2017.
