Although Jessie James Decker may be a devoted country singer, her most important roles that she dedicates herself to is being a great partner to her husband, Eric, and a loving mom to her kids. Now that the holidays are sneaking up quickly, she’s letting fans in on what she loves most about Christmas and some of the characteristics that make the festivities ever merrier.

The “Lights Down Low” singer sat down and chatted about all things Christmas, including the best gift she received on the holiday and what music she likes to rock around the Christmas tree to.

While some families wait until the evening hours to be together for the ultimate unwrapping party, Decker always looks forward to the wonder of Christmas morning to see how her loved ones react to the presents that Santa brought them overnight.

“My favorite Christmas tradition is just Christmas morning,” she reveals in the video. “I love waking up, having coffee and getting the kids really excited and telling them Santa came and brought them all sorts of presents, and watching them open them up.”

Thinking about all of the blessings she’s received over the years throughout her career and her family life, Decker still admits that her favorite present was one that ever country star should get: a pair of cowboy boots.

“They were these tan, orange-y looking cowboy boots and oh my God, I just couldn’t stop hugging her [mom], I was so excited. I think I was in the seventh or eighth grade and I thought they were the coolest thing, and I still have them,” Decker said.
