Sometimes, breaking up is just hard to do. But Jillian Jacqueline is done beating around the broken bush in the new music video for her single, “Reasons.”
Set within the mysteries of a vintage 70s-themed home, Jacqueline lays down the facts of an ending relationship while dressed fabulously like that out of a retro time machine. From singing the lighthearted woes while sunken away from the stress in a golden bathtub to rocking out in front of some old-school midcentury modern wallpaper, the country singer declares her angsty goodbye from a love she plans to lose despite what rumors may roll around.
Jacqueline sticks to the quirky yet nostalgic vibes while channeling her passé notions throughout the blast-from-the-past décor. Remaining unique in her vocal and fashion style, Jacqueline sports everything from fuzzy furs to fluffy feathers throughout the rad music video.
Written by Jacqueline and Sarah Buxton, the song embodies the idea of a romance gone astray thanks to the expiration date of passion between the two lovebirds. Despite negatively pointed questions from friends and the sorrow of loneliness, Jacqueline whims it all away due to the confirmation that they are, indeed, so over.
