Jimmie Allen is Engaged After Proposing at Disney World
What a 'magical' proposal!
Jimmie Allen is going to give marriage his ‘best shot.’ The singer is engaged to his girlfriend Alexis Gale!
According to PEOPLE, Allen, 33, popped the question during a recent trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL. It was outside the theme park’s castle at the Magic Kingdom that Allen decided to ask Gale, 23, to be his bride. The couple was surrounded by family and friends, including their parents, sisters, his cousin and more.
Allen was first introduced to his future wife by his cousin’s wife. They connected over their shared hometown of Milton, Delaware and began dating in the spring.
“With Alexis being from my hometown, it is like always having a piece of home with me. We had an immediate connection,” the singer told PEOPLE of their relationship. “It was like we’d always known each other.”
He added that he also knew she was ‘the one’ after seeing her interact with his five-year-old son Aadyn.
“Her smile melts me, her pure heart challenges me to love better, the way she motivates and supports me is unlike anything I’ve ever seen, the way she loves me and my son is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced,” he said of the nurse. It feels incredible to find the type of love I’ve been writing songs about all these years!”
No word yet on when the couple plans to tie the knot, but Allen will stay busy all summer long opening for Chris Young’s Raised on Country Tour this summer. Allen recently earned his first No.1 single with his debut song “Best Shot.”
