Country star Jimmie Allen will look to bust a move on national TV this fall, as the hit maker officially joins the cast of Dancing With the Stars for its 30th season.

Allen was revealed as a celebrity contestant on Good Morning America Wednesday morning (September 8), and he’ll have some stiff competition.

Joining Allen on the dance floor will be stars like Gold-medal wininning Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, former Spice Girls singer Mel C and former Bachelor star Matt James, and that’s just the beginning. Also competing for the famed mirrorball trophey are a slate of actors, reality stars and more, including Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Kenya Moore, Bling Empire’s Christine Chiu, The Karate Kid’s Martin Kove, talk show host Amanda Kloots and former Beverly Hills, 90210 heartthrob Brian Austin Green.

Meanwhile, Melora Hardin, who played Jan Levinson on NBC’s The Office, will also join the cast, and so will YouTuber and social media influencer Olivia Jade, who is the daughter of actress Lori Loughlin. They will also be up against athletes like professional wrestler Mike “the Miz” Mizanin and NBA star Iman Shumpert, plus Peloton’s Cody Rigsby and YouTube star JoJo Siwa, who will be the first contestant ever paired with a professional dancer of the same sex. The official pro-celeb pairings will be revealed during the season’s first episode.

Rehearsals for the first week have already begun, and according to Allen, it’s a totally different kind of performance than he’s used to.

“You know, these rehearsals, listen here — I have never ballroom danced a day in my life,” he told Good Morning America. “Just know — it’s rough.”

Judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will return to the popular primetime show, along with host and executive producer Tyra Banks. The first episode of Dancing With the Stars Season 30 is set for ABC on September 20.

In related news, Jimmie Allen was recently confirmed as a featured artist on a new collaborative album from pop legend Elton John, and the country star also made his debut as Executive Music Producer on the Netflix series Titletown High. His current single is “Freedom Was a Highway” (featuring Brad Paisley).
