Jimmie Allen and Noah Cyrus took the stage at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville, TN to perform their duet, “This Is Us.” Dressed in a sequined long jacket, a black cowboy hat and leather pants, Allen started off the performance by himself, singing the first verse alone.

Cyrus then took the stage for her part, dressed in a nude body suit with sequins, and a white cowboy hat, long white gloves and white boots also decorated in sequins. The two then sang the romantic duet, which appears on Allen’s Bettie James duets EP. Although there isn’t a large crowd at this year’s awards show due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a small, socially-distanced crowd watched the performance from further down the park.

“This Is Us” was co-written by Cyrus alongside Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, Jordan Schmidt, Ilsey Juber, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II.

“I’ve been a fan of Noah’s music for a while. When I got the call to be a part of the song, I was honored,” Allen shared previously. “It was co-written by one of my friends Tyler Hubbard which made it super special. I love the song and Noah did her thing on it!”

The 2020 CMT Music Awards air Wednesday, October 21st at 8:00PM ET/7:00PM CT on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, Pop and TV Land.
