Country artist Jimmie Allen will help wave goodbye to 2020 in a Times-Square celebration like none before, taking part in Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021.

The annual mega-party featuring stars and a countdown to the new year will take place for the 49th time this year, but it will look a lot different. Normally drawing about 1 million people into the heart of New York City for the celebration, this year’s event will be closed to the public due to COVID-19 precautions, but the ticker-tape performances will still go on.

Along with Jimmie Allen, Jennifer Lopez will headline the send-off to 2020 (good riddance), and the event will also feature actor/singer Billy Porter and pop hit maker Cyndi Lauper, who recently appeared together in the hit Broadway musical, Kinky Boots.

Ryan Seacrest will return to host the event, which will also check in with festivities around the world and feature Ciara as the host from Los Angeles, plus appearances by actress/singer Lucy Hale, country artist Jessie James Decker and more. The socially-distant fun kicks off live on December 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
