Jimmy Wayne Will Arrive At MMH Finish Line This Weekend

Jimmy Wayne is set to arrive at the final destination of the first leg of his “Project Meet Me Halfway” walk this weekend. To celebrate his arrival in Phoenix, AZ, Wayne will host a concert at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill in Mesa, AZ tomorrow, July 31. Fans are encouraged to complete the final 2 miles with Wayne the following day, Sunday, August 1.

“The experience from this walk has been kind of what I thought it would be, but it’s better than I thought it would be as well,” Jimmy tells AOL’s The Boot. “I thought that I would be more alone, but I wasn’t. The amount of people who have gotten involved and the amount of support — from fans to strangers, radio and media — has been life changing. I will never forget this. If this walk has helped even one child find a permanent home with a caring family, it’s been worth every step. And if me doing it all over again would help another, I’m ready.”
