Joey Feek Celebrates Christmas Surrounded By Family

Joey Feek, of Country duo Joey + Rory, was all smiles on Christmas Day.

The singer, who has been in hospice care since November, celebrated the holiday with her family.

“Celebrating Christmas with Joey, surrounded by family,” her husband Rory wrote on the duo’s Facebook page. “The best gift of all. Thank you Lord.”

Previously, Rory shared that their wish was for Joey to make it through Christmas. They’ve been cherishing their last holiday season together, even getting a personal visit from Santa last week.

Now that Joey, who is battling terminal cancer, has made it though the holidays, her next goal is to live through the month of February. The 40-year-old hopes to make it to see the release their album of hymns on Feb. 14, The GRAMMYs on Feb. 15 (the duo is nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for the song “I Need You”), and her daughter’s second birthday on Feb. 17.
