John Rich of country duo Big & Rich is expanding his Redneck Riviera empire with the addition of a new bar/restaurant chain.
The singer/songwriter recently revealed to The Tennessean that the first restaurant is set to open in downtown Nashville next spring. Rich described the high-end, family friendly restaurant as “the more rural, rowdy version of Margaritaville.”
“Margaritaville is where your dad goes to hang out,” said Rich. “It’s going to have fun, wild cool elements about it but it’s also a bar you can take your kids to.”
Rich’s Redneck Riviera lifestyle brand currently features boots and themed tee shirts, among other items.
“It’s really America’s brand,” Rich said. “I say it’s for people that work hard and play harder and in that little phrase, you encapsulate Redneck Riviera. Redneck Riviera is not flash and trash, everything we’re doing is high end, high quality stuff. That’s important to me.”
According to The Tennessean, the singer also plans to open restaurants in Myrtle Beach, SC and Pensacola, FL.
