Actor and musician John Schneider is back with new music. He has announced plans to release the new project, Recycling Grace, to digital retailers on Sept. 15.

Co-produced by Schneider, Larry Hall and Alicia Allain, the album features a mix of 11 faith-based tracks, from classics to original songs. The project was recorded in Nashville and Franklin, TN with guest vocals from Christian Davis, Cody McCarver, Jacob Lyda and J Edwards. The album comes after a trying five years that included Schneider losing his Louisiana home and movie studio to floods and enduring a very public (but now final) divorce.

Recycling Grace is jam packed with a few standards, but also new songs whose intention is to make you think and feel something,” says Schneider. “The music itself is intentionally more raw, bluesy and edgy. I believe these inspirational songs especially should elicit some sort of physical reaction from the listener. These will do that for sure!”

The project is Schneider’s first original music after releasing 72 songs in 2018. He’s best known for his role as Bo Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard, Jonathan Kent on Smallville and Jim Cryer on Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots.
