Jon Pardi is at the top of the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Airplay charts this week with his boot-stomping single “Heartache Medication.” The tune marks the California native’s fourth time earning the accolade.

“A No. 1 is great! You reach the top of the charts, and it’s stamped in history as a No. 1. It’s a big deal, and it’s a lot of fun. But, for me, when you get a Top 10, you’ve already beat the odds, especially with my music,” said the country crooner in a statement. “No. 1s matter, but also at the same time, if it’s felt and it makes an impact, that’s a big thing too. It’s been great. Radio’s been great, and they’ve been very great about playing my stuff and it’s been fun to like know that’s cool because I get to keep writing that stuff and the fans are growing too, and it’s getting bigger and bigger.”

Pardi co-wrote “Heartache Medication” with Barry Dean and Natalie Hemby. The track scored a special guest appearance from his fiancee Summer Duncan as she starred in the line dancing music video.

“It was great to have Summer, who I love,” he shared with Sounds Like Nashville previously. “You can see it all over the music video that we are in love and having a great time. It was a lot of fun. Everybody loved it. I’ve done maybe eight or nine music videos now and this was the first one where we got the first edit back from the director and we were like, ‘It’s good! I love it!’”

“Heartache Medication” follows Jon Pardi’s previous Number One hits “Dirt On My Boots,” “Head Over Boots,” “Heartache On The Dance Floor” and Top 5 “Night Shift.” The song is the title track from his most recent critically-acclaimed album.
