Now that Jordan Davis made his way to the big time, he’s about to gamble it all when he goes to Las Vegas for the ACM Awards in April.

With one show booked and countless hangouts with friends in the midst, Davis will mix a little bit of both work and play when he heads out west to Sin City. This marks the first time that Davis has ever had the opportunity to be a part of the ‘Week Vegas Goes Country’ and it means more to him now that he watched the awards ceremony on television during his younger days.

“This is my first one I’ve ever been to. So, yeah, I can remember watching ACM’s with the whole fam. I mean I’ve seen every single one so I know I’ve seen some stuff. Country music was just such a big part of our upbringing. That was always cool to get around and watch the awards shows. This will be pretty crazy being out there for the first time and actually like attending it. It’ll be fun,” he said to Sounds Like Nashville.

But it isn’t Vegas without a little bit of a wild time, so Davis plans to rack up some chips to ante up on the blackjack table. As the singer admits that he won’t go too overboard on his bets, Davis will still bring some heavy competition in the casino when he gets the chance.

“Yeah, I’m a blackjack guy so I know I might have to bring a little bit of extra money,” he joked. “I don’t have a ton of that but, hey I could come back, you know I could hit the jackpot, who knows?”

The 53rd Annual ACM Awards will air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 15, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
