Josh Abbott and Girlfriend Welcome Baby Girl, Emery Farryn

Josh Abbott Band frontman Josh Abbott and his girlfriend Taylor Parnell are seeing pink after the addition of their baby girl, Emery Farryn, born on Cinco de Mayo.

Joining the world on Friday morning (5/5) at 1 a.m., the little girl weighed in at 6 lbs., 13 oz., and measured 19 inches long, the couple confirms to PEOPLE. Her name, the couple adds, means “brave adventure.”

“We wanted to do something similar with a girl name to how my brother named his daughter Eisley Dawn, which means ‘Cheerful Beginnings,’ ” the country star tells the publication of his daughters name. “And the word ‘brave’ is a word I used to describe Taylor in a song I wrote for her, ‘I’m Your Only Flaw,’ on the new album coming out this year.”

The baby girl is less than a day old and already has her mom and dad wrapped around her little tiny fingers.

“Taylor and I are so in love with our baby girl already. Hard to explain it unless you’ve experienced it, but Emery has already changed me as a man,” said Abbott. “I’m so excited to show her love and all the life lessons she’ll need to conquer this world.”

Emery arrives just as the band kicked off their Live It While You Got It Tour on Tuesday (5/2). After playing the first stop in College Station, Texas, the band announced that the next two shows would be rescheduled.

The tour will resume in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Saturday (5/6) and continues through July.
