Josh Kelley Performs ‘It’s Your Move’ on ‘TODAY’
"It's Your Move" is the lead single from Kelley's first album in five years, New Lane Road.
Josh Kelley was up and at ‘em early this morning when he performed his latest single, “It’s Your Move,” on the TODAY Show.
“That was crazy fun @todayshow with #kathieleeandhoda – and I’m not gonna lie,,, I felt pretty damn 2 the 9s in my @tomford outfit!!! Boom,” the singer wrote on Instagram with a picture of himself and TODAY Show hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.
The song was written about a moment in his life where he had a possible marriage-ending fight with his wife, actress Katherine Heigl.
“It was like one of those fights, an all-end-all fight, where you have to decide whether you’re going to remain in this story or not,” he said when the song was announced. “And luckily, we love each other, we’re best friends, and we came out of it on top, but it was a big eye-opener for us. It’s a very vulnerable song. It’s very honest.”
