Josh Thompson Parts Ways with Sony Music Nashville
Josh Thompson has parted ways with the Sony Music Nashville label group.
A label spokesperson confirmed to CMT that Thompson has exited RCA roster. The “Beer On The Table” singer, who originally signed with Columbia Nashville, made the move to RCA when Sony Music Nashville restructured last fall.
Last month Thompson revealed to CountryMusicIsLove that he recently “finished” follow-up to his 2010 debut album Way Out Here and hoped it would be released later this year. There’s no word on whether or not Thompson has a new record deal in the works, but it appears he’s going back into the studio. “‘Bout to hit the studio,” he tweeted on Monday. “Lookin’ for someone who can play the spoons.”
Kellie Pickler also parted ways with Sony Music Nashville last month.
