Josh Turner Breaks Silence Following Fatal Bus Accident

Nearly a week after his crew was involved in a fatal bus accident, Josh Turner has broken his silence on the incident.
“As I try to write this I don’t know what to say. It’s a struggle to put into words the devastation and grief that our road family is trying to process,” wrote Turner in a personal note on Facebook. “We lost a beloved member of our team, David Turner. He was like a brother to so many in this industry and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Please continue to keep David’s family in your prayers.”
He continued, “All of our crew suffered significant injuries and many have long roads to recovery. I would ask that you give them privacy during this time.”
In the message, Turner directs fans interested in helping the crew and their families to a GoFundMe page.
The crash occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 18 after a show in Paso Robles, California. KSBY reports that the bus launched off of an 80-foot cliff. Questions surrounding the cause of the accident have not yet been answered, though drugs and alcohol were immediately ruled out.
It was reported at the time that two passengers, including David Turner, were ejected from the vehicle. Two were airlifted from the scene with major injuries while the remaining five were driven by ambulance to the nearest hospital.
Turner’s remaining September shows have been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
