Big Machine Records & Crown Royal are mixing music with philanthropy this summer and offering a free digital download of “Heroes,” performed by Justin Moore and penned by Country singer/songwriter and Republic Nashville artist Greg Bates. The tune is a tribute to hometown heroes like Samuel Deeds, a U.S. Marine who will be honored at the Brickyard Sprint Cup Series Race as part of Crown Royal’s annual “Your Hero’s Name Here” program. Deeds was selected as the winner of this year’s contest in late June and therefore the title of this year’s race is officially: “Crown Royal Presents the Samuel Deeds 400 at the Brickyard Powered by BigMachineRecords.com.”

Bates said he wrote the song “Heroes,” “to honor everyday people who don’t always get the credit and recognition that they deserve for their daily acts of heroism. I hope that this song makes people notice and appreciate the everyday HEROES in their own lives.”

Consumers 21 and over can visit CrownHeroesSong.com to download their complimentary copy of “Heroes.” For every download redeemed between now and the Samuel Deeds 400 on July 28 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Crown Royal will donate one dollar to the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF).
