2019 is gearing up to be a big year for country hitmaker Justin Moore as the singer prepares a new album and a slew of tour dates.
The trek is in support of Moore’s upcoming release, featuring the lead single, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home.” The heartfelt track pays homage to the United States Armed Forces, of which Moore is an avid supporter.
“The inspiration for this song hit onstage,” explained Moore of the song he penned with Jeremy Stover, Paul Digiovanni and Chase McGill. “Each night on tour before we play ‘If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,’ I talk about our great appreciation for the men and women of the military. Before kicking it off I always ask the crowd to raise their drinks for the ‘ones that didn’t make it back home.’ It just stuck with me one night about nine months ago and I knew we had to write this song.”
Moore’s fifth studio album is expected in the new year.
