Kacey Musgraves Boot Thief Arrested

On Monday, Kacey Musgraves’ car was burglarized and two pair of boots and receipts were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked outside of Nashville music venue 3rd & Lindsley. According to reports, the stolen items were valued at about $900, and the damage to Musgraves’ car totaled $500.

After the incident, Musgraves took to Twitter to blow off some steam about the theft. “Guess the assbag who broke into my car tonight is gonna look pretty good in the @Lucchese1883 & @charlottes_web boots they stole,” she wrote.

The day after the boots were stolen, Darnell Cunningham, 30, was reportedly arrested and charged with theft of property. According to The Tennessean, a police report states that Cunningham was caught on video at Lucchese Boots on 12th Ave. South in Nashville trying to return Musgraves’ stolen boots with the receipts. The manager of the store reportedly recognized the boots and noticed the Texas native’s name on the receipt. When the manager began to question him, Cunningham allegedly grabbed the boots and left.

He was booked into a Nashville area jail on Wednesday afternoon.
