Kacey Musgraves Joins Weezer on Stage During Nashville Show
The country singer sat in on the band’s hit, “Island in the Sun,” a song she enjoys covering whenever she’s out on the road.

Alternative rock band Weezer was recently playing a concert in Nashville when the audience was surprised to find Kacey Musgraves taking the stage. The country singer sat in on the band’s hit, “Island in the Sun,” a song she enjoys covering whenever she’s out on the road.
Adding background vocals and leading the second verse, Musgraves seemed pretty comfortable alongside Weezer as they jammed together like most musicians do on a typical night in Music City.
Musgraves took to Twitter after the show to give a shoutout to the guys for letting her crash their Nashville party.
“Thanks for havin me up tonight in Nashville, @Weezer,” she wrote, adding the all too fitting emojis of a palm tree, rock on hand and sparkling heart.
Musgraves was in Nashville hanging out before heading back out on the road for the next few months to come. She also recently contributed to the star-studded tribute song called “Hands,” in honor of the Orlando tragedy that occurred last month.
