Kacey Musgraves Lives Out Her Dream of Working at a Shaved Ice Stand
Childhood dreams do come true!
Kacey Musgraves has always worked hard to make her dreams come true, and her most recent aspiration of working for a shaved ice shop has finally become reality.
The “Butterflies” singer posted a random request on her Instagram account on a recent afternoon asking if any snowcone stands in the Nashville area were looking for employees. Blue Monkey Shaved Ice caught wind of the ask, and decided to take Musgraves up on the offer by sending an invite to join the company on their food truck for a day to pass out free treats.
Musgraves accepted the offer, and the rest is history.
Sporting a blue tie-dye co-ordinate set to match the summer vibes of Blue Monkey Ice, the singer created custom-made desserts in between snapping selfies with fans who lined up for the spontaneous occasion. While it may have been a one-off deal, Musgraves definitely ate up every moment of the day getting to connect with fans over a childhood passion.
“Thank you @bluemonkeyice Nashville for helping to fulfill my lifelong dream of working in a snowcone stand 😭🍧 Tho I did low-key kinda slack, we gave out hundreds of FREE snowcones on this gorgeous Friday afternoon. Spread a little joy wherever you can 🤍,” she wrote in one of her various Instagram posts about the day.
The random decision to serve shaved ice was a part of her team’s mission to help spread joy throughout the past few months, so all of the bowls served up to those lucky customers were on the house thanks to Musgraves’ generosity.
Over the past year, Musgraves has delved into a number of passions from redesigning her home decor to selling trendy merch that sells out in a short amount of time.
