Kacey Musgraves to Appear on CMT’s ‘Nashville’

Kacey Musgraves is bringing her iconic flair to the set of CMT’s Nashville when she guest stars on the season finale of the hit show this week. Musgraves teased the news with a video of her director’s chair placed next to show regulars Charles Esten (Deacon Claybourne) and Clare Bowen (Scarlett O’Connor).

The episode, titled “Reasons to Quit,” follows the conflict between Maddie and Juliette as it comes to a head. Deacon and the artists of Highway 65 take a stand and Gunnar returns from Avery’s tour. No word on exactly how Musgraves will fit into the hour-long episode.

Nashville has had no shortage of celebrity guests throughout it’s five season run, with country stars Michael RayBrad PaisleyKellie PicklerFlorida Georgia LineSteven TylerKelsea Ballerini, and Thomas Rhett all earning some air time. The show has also pulled in many other famous faces including Sir Elton John, Kesha, Bridgit Mendler and more.

Nashville will take a brief hiatus after this week’s season finale, but is expected to return in early 2018. CMT announced it’s renewal of the show back in April while season five was still underway.

Fans can catch Kacey Musgraves and the rest of the Nashville crew when the show airs on CMT this Thursday at 9/8c.
