Kane Brown appeared on the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards on Wednesday, September 16 to sing his latest single, “Worldwide Beautiful,” on the Grand Ole Opry stage.

“I just want everybody to love everybody, and this is the song I wrote for it,” said Brown prior to his performance.

In the unifying single, Brown sings of loving and respecting people of all colors and walks of life, and his performance certainly reflected that sentiment. Brown appeared onstage with his band, and as he sang, a glow of bright colors shone on the screens behind him. Then, as the camera panned out, viewers could see coordinated, multi-colored lights shining in the Grand Ole Opry house seats where the audience would usually sit. Shortly into the performance, choir singers appeared in a line in the balcony of the venue, adding their harmonies to Brown’s voice.

Brown smiled as he sang the powerful song, and often pointed his microphone to the balcony singers, allowing them to sing the lines solo. Towards the end of the song, Brown repeats the line, “One love, one god, one family,” and while he did so, one of the choir singers repeatedly sang “Worldwide Beautiful,” adding a layered effect. Although there was no audience present for the show due to COVID-19, at the end of the performance, Brown tipped his head to the choir singers and they applauded him.
