Keith Urban Confirms Cat Vs. Cap Debate in ‘You’ll Think Of Me’

The debate is finally over – fans can rest easy knowing the actual lyrics of Keith Urban’s “You’ll Think of Me.”

Since 2002, country fans have been debating over the lyrics “And take your cap/cat and leave my sweater / ‘Cause we have nothing left to weather / In fact I’ll feel a whole lot better / But you’ll think of me, you’ll think of me,” never knowing whether the word was cap or cat. But thanks to Bobby Bones, we finally have an answer.

In a screenshot posted to Bones’ Instagram, he point blank asks Urban “Is it cat or cap officially. Take my cap or cat.”

Urban replied, “Cat…. Ultimately he always HATED that damn cat.”

The country crooner followed up with the text by sharing a video to Twitter where he points to his BNA cap, shaking his head, before panning over to his family pet, a cat, and showing a thumbs up.

So that settles it – “Take your cat and leave my sweater.”

How do you feel about knowing the official lyrics now?
