Mickey Guyton and Keith Urban Thank Each Other For Co-Hosting ACMs

Mickey Guyton and Keith Urban came together on Sunday, April 18th to share hosting duties at the 2021 ACM Awards which aired on CBS. Guyton made history on the night, becoming the first Black woman to host the awards show, and she and Urban showed off their natural chemistry as they hosted the show. After the show, both artists posted the same behind-the-scenes photo, thanking the other for sharing the stage.

“Dream team! Wouldn’t have wanted to do this with anyone else,” wrote Guyton. “Thank you @keithurban for the opportunity. This is a moment I will never forget.”

Urban commented on Guyton’s post, emphasizing their “Dream team” status. Urban also took to social media to also post the photo and shared his gratefulness for hosting alongside Guyton.

“@mickeyguyton!!! Thanks for sharing hosting duties with me this year,” he wrote. “I loooooved getting to host alongside you. It was an absolute blast!!”

Guyton then commented on Urban’s post, writing, “Thank you so much for the opportunity! Last night was a dream.”

The Academy of Country Music awards on Sunday were full of fun moments from Guyton and Urban, inspiring and upbeat performances, and plenty of awards. In addition to hosting, both Urban and Guyton performed on the show. Urban served up an rocking rendition of his song, “Tumbleweed,” and Guyton performed the inspiring “Hold On,” which she recorded for the movie, Breakthrough.
