Keith Urban’s ‘The Speed of Now Part 1′ to Feature P!nk, Breland & More

Keith Urban will release his eleventh studio album, The Speed of Now Part 1, on September 18. He recently teased the project’s high-octane track listing but left several key details a surprise. But early Monday morning (8/17), the singer revealed several star-studded collaborations featured across the project.
On the project opener, “Out of the Cage,” rising star Breland and legendary guitarist Nile Rodgers will team up with Urban. Meanwhile, P!nk lends her vocals to the second track, “One Too Many.” Eric Church also appears on the album closer with “We Were.”
“When I collaborate, I’m always looking for that ‘third thing.’ There’s what I do, there’s what my collaborator does and then there’s this ‘third thing’ that I’m most curious about,” shares Urban in a press release. “That’s what interests me the most – when the sum of the parts becomes even more than what I envisioned. That’s what I love so much about it – finding common ground, shaping it and bringing it together.”
The highly anticipated project first began coming together in 2019. Urban revealed his plans for the record months later with a tease of five of the tracks from The Speed of Now Part 1.
“In October 2019 this album title came to me,” Urban shared previously. “I liked it because I felt like life was flying by so fast. But music [for me] has always been the place where it slows down and doesn’t even exist. I would never have imagined that, in 2020, this album title would take on a whole new meaning … and still feel so relevant.”
