"I know how Nashvillians know how to throw a party, and every year this one just gets bigger and bigger — so we'll be bringin’ it," says Urban.

Country superstar Keith Urban will help Music City ring in 2017 by headlining Nashville’s New Year’s Eve event, “Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve.”

“I actually love playing on New Year’s Eve — I’ve done it most of my life,” said Urban, a four-time nominee for the upcoming 50th Annual CMA Awards. “So when they invited me to ring in 2017 here in my hometown, it was an immediate yes. I’ve lived here now for 24 years, so I know how Nashvillians know how to throw a party, and every year this one just gets bigger and bigger — so we’ll be bringin’ it.”

The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp announced the news today, also revealing that Styx, Moon Taxi, A Thousand HorsesCharlie Worsham, and the Fisk Jubilee Singers will also take the stage at the event, which is free and open to the public.

For the first time, the event will take place at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. The venue change was made to accommodate growth and enhance security. 150,000 people attended last year’s New Year’s Eve event on Lower Broadway, bringing in $22.2 million in direct visitor spending.

“Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve” will open at 4 p.m. on December 31. For more information, including event packages, click HERE.
