The Voice has always tapped some of music’s biggest names to work alongside the coaches as advisers. For season 15, the NBC hit show continues the trend by adding Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett to the mix. Working with Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson’s teams, respectively, the two country superstars will dish out advice to the young hopefuls hoping to move on in the competition.

For the former American Idol judge, the experience of coaching Team Blake was a great one, as he appreciates getting to spread helpful tips to budding talent.

“I just [filmed] that a couple weeks ago. I had a blast doing it. I love [that] side of it,” shared Urban during his recent No.1 party in Nashville. “I love being about to trying out for any advice, feedback, insight, guidance, anything to allow these guys and girls who haven’t had that opportunity, haven’t been around people who can give them specific help. I loved it. Blake was fun to work with.”

While mentoring the up-and-coming stars was exciting for Urban, he also appreciated getting to spend the day with Shelton, something they’ve never done before.

“I like Blake a lot,” he shared. “I like him even more after spending that whole day with him and getting to know him a little bit more. I realized I didn’t know him that well. You know, I’ve never really spent any time him, so I really enjoyed it.”

This isn’t the first time Shelton and Clarkson have enlisted the help of country stars. In season 14, the coaches were joined by Trace Adkins and Cassadee Pope. Shelton has also previously invited Reba McEntireBrad PaisleySheryl CrowLuke BryanRascal Flatts and Kelly Clarkson.

In addition to Urban and Rhett joining the star-studded lineup of advisers, Adam Levine has invited former Voice coach CeeLo Green to the table, while Jennifer Hudson has lined up Halsey.
