Kelleigh Bannen: Style Profile
The Southern songstress gives us the lowdown on her beauty routine.
Kelleigh Bannen’s style is the perfect mix of glam and grounded. Whether she’s all blinged out, taking inspo from her sultry song “Diamonds,” or keeping it casual in a utility jumpsuit, the starlet always appears put-together. Bannen’s new album Favorite Colors is out now. Her popular podcast, This Nashville Life, is in its fourth season.
We caught up with the ambitious singer-songwriter to chat about all things style and beauty.
Her style icons: ’90s Cindy Crawford, especially in denim, Shania, and Karen Fairchild. There’s a jewelry designer named Drew Ginsburg whose style I love.

Her beauty routine: Water. I try to drink a gallon a day and it has helped my skin so much. I love BABOR’s single serving ampoules and treat myself to those if I want extra hydration, like after a long flight. Always sunscreen, except on red carpets because you can have flashback and look weirdly white.
How she preps for the red carpet: Usually, I meet with my stylist a few weeks out to talk about ideas. I’m usually on a pretty tight budget, so we brainstorm ways to make it affordable. Glam-wise, I always do a spray tan before a red carpet because it makes me feel more toned.
The best and worst fashion trends she’s experienced: Best: I’m loving this western resurgence. Worst: This was kind of a hair trend, but I went too hard on ombre in like 2012.

How she describes her personal style: Relaxed glam. I like something a little surprising or a little glam, but I always want it to feel grounded, so pairing with denim or a leather jacket can make something that might read too “fancy” feel a little grittier and more relaxed.
Her favorite wardrobe essentials: Right now I’m loving an over-sized blazer. You can make something really casual (like a beat up tee and jeans) look edgy and pulled together with a great jacket.
