Kellie Pickler Eyes Broadway Musical

Could Southern belle Kellie Pickler be heading to the Big Apple? It’s a possibility!

The country cutie recently expressed interest in headlining a show on Broadway. In a recent chat with Country Weekly, Pickler said the thought has been in her head since appearing on (and winning) ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” last spring. “Since the show I’ve been wanting to do Broadway so bad just to throw together two of my passions—dance and music,” she told the publication. “I want them to do like a Tammy Wynette Broadway musical! I know Dolly Parton has her Broadway shows and I think if anybody lived a country song, it’s Tammy.”

And even if the “Tammy Wynette project” doesn’t come to fruition, Pickler has another role in mind thanks to her former dance partner. “Derek [Hough} was like, ‘You need to be Roxie in Chicago,’” she says, laughing. “That would be amazing! I’ve watched that move a million times. I know it by heart.”
