“Tough” is the debut single from Kellie’s forthcoming third studio album. The newlywed recently revealed that she’s making “dirty” country music for her next album, which she says will give fans a better idea of who she is.
“The past couple of years that I’ve been in Nashville since I signed my record deal, I’ve struggled to figure out where my place is,” Pickler recently told The Star Tribune. “There’s a lot more to Kellie Pickler than the first two albums let you in on.”
After listening to “Tough,” it’s apparent that her musical direction has changed. The tune is definitely more country (vs country-pop) than any of her previous singles like “Red High Heels” and “Best Days Of Your Life.” We are loving the direction she’s taking with her music and we think this is Kellie’s best single yet! We can’t wait to hear what else she’s been working on.
