Kellie Pickler Parts Ways with Sony Music Nashville

Kellie Pickler and her record label, Sony Music Nashville, have officially parted ways.

Rumors of the split surfaced Wednesday morning and by Wednesday afternoon, Pickler’s manager Larry Fitzgerald, confirmed the news.

“Kellie’s contract with Sony came to an end and they mutually decided not to renew,” he said in a statement to ABC News Radio.

Pickler signed with Sony Music Nashville’s BNA imprint after placing sixth on the fifth season of “American Idol.” Pickler has released three albums with Sony – Small Town Girl in 2006, Kellie Pickler in 2008, and 100 Proof in January of this year.
