Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery Return To ‘American Idol’
Following the return of Carrie Underwood and Casey James, both Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery returned to “American Idol” for some very special performances last Thursday.
McCreery, who won in Season 10, took to the stage to sing his new single “See You Tonight.” The single is the first release from his forthcoming sophomore album. While details about a release date and title have yet to be announced, McCreery has been hard at work on the follow-up to his Platinum selling debut album, Clear As Day. McCreery has also been on the road for his first headlining tour.
Kelly Clarkson also hit the stage on Thursday. The original Idol performed a new song called “People Like Us.” Clarkson’s performance was extremely unique due to the black lights and glow-in-the-dark clothes worn by the singer and her band. “People Like Us” is the next single from Clarkson’s Greatest Hits: Chapter 1. On top of her return to “American Idol,” Clarkson is currently planning her wedding to Blake Shelton’s manager and Reba’s son, Brandon Blackstock.
