America first fell in love with Kelly Clarkson when she won American Idol in 2002. In addition to her powerhouse vocals, it was her warm personality that won over fans instantly, and she’ll bring that sparkle back to TV when her daytime talk show launches in 2019.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Kelly Clarkson Show will debut in the fall of 2019 and replace Steve Harvey’s Steve. It will air across NBC stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco, Miami, San Diego, Hartford and Washington, D.C. ahead of Ellen.
“I love connecting with people, playing games, music and finding ways to help or give back to communities/organizations,” Clarkson shared in a statement. “Having my own talk show where I get to do all of these things is pretty much a dream job!”

“We are very excited to have Kelly Clarkson on our air next fall,” added Valari Staab, president of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. “She’s genuine, warm, fun and interacts with her fans in a meaningful way. Throughout her career people of all ages and backgrounds have related to her openness, honesty and curiosity. She will be the perfect companion to Ellen, providing an afternoon of great television.”
According to THR, Clarkson’s show is described as a “weekday brunch party,” featuring “celebrity guests, surprises, humor, heart, music and remarkable stories.”
Clarkson will executive produce the series with her husband, Brandon Blackstock.
The Texas native will keep her plate full as she prepares to coach for season 15 and 16 of NBC’s The Voice. Additionally, the superstar will embark on her 2019 Meaning of Life Tour with special guest Kelsea Ballerini.
