Congratulations to Kelly Clarkson and her family!
The singer welcomed her baby boy, Remington Alexander Blackstock, on Tuesday, April 12, she announced on Twitter today.
“Our little baby boy has arrived!! Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn’t be happier or more in love!”
Clarkson unexpectedly announced the news of her pregnancy during her Los Angeles tour stop in August. While introducing her song “Piece By Piece,” Clarkson was a bit emotional and had a noticeably tough time getting herself together. She told the crowd, “I was not planning on announcing this, but … I’m totally pregnant. I’m having a really hard time,” she explained of her struggles to get through the emotional song. The singer also explained that even their extended family had no idea they were expecting.
Remington is the second child for Clarkson and her husband Brandon. He joins sister River Rose and two older half-siblings, Savannah and Seth.
