While Yearwood’s air date is still unknown, we now know that the new season will premiere with Clarkson’s episode on July 23.
“Who Do You Think You Are?” invites celebrities to research their roots and trace their ancestry. In the upcoming season, both Clarkson and Yearwood go on emotional journeys as they learn about their family trees. “I’ve never stopped hearing about how much people love ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ and I’ve always known that we’ve had more great stories to share,” said Lisa Kudrow, Executive Producer in a press release.
The new season, which will consist of eight one-hour episodes, will feature Clarkson and Yearwood, as well as Christina Applegate (airing July 30), Chelsea Handler (Aug. 6), Zooey Deschanel (Aug. 13). Yearwood, Jim Parsons, Cindy Crawford and Chris O’Donnell’s dates TBA.
