Kelsea Ballerini Tells Kelly Clarkson Her Most Embarassing Moment

Kelsea Ballerini cracked up her host with an unbelievable story on The Kelly Clarkson Show, telling the whole world about the moment she embarrassed herself in front of Miranda Lambert.
Speaking as a guest on the daytime talk show alongside Hamilton actor and jazz singer Leslie Odom Jr., Ballerini said she will never live down what happened after the 2020 CMA Awards. She was chatting with a group which included country superstar Miranda Lambert, Ballerini explained, and said she really wanted to make a good impression, since she and the “Bluebird” star don’t know each other well. But that’s not what happened.
As the group talked, Ballerini’s wine glass suddenly shattered — inside her mouth. And needless to say, she was mortified.
“I’m drinking it, and it shatters in my mouth,” Ballerini said, while Clarkson listened on. “[It] cut my lip, and I had to spit out bloody glass and, like, run to the bathroom in front of [Lambert], and I think everyone was like ‘Did she just eat glass? Is that a thing she does?'”
In the end, Ballerini was able to clean up and continue the party, and now Lambert will always remember her. But luckily, Ballerini has an outlet to talk it out, since she went on to tell Clarkson how going to therapy has helped her write more meaningful songs. And she showed the result with an impassioned performance of her latest single, “Love Me Like A Girl.”
Telling Clarkson the tune was written like a handbook for her husband, fellow country singer Morgan Evans, on how to relate to his wife, Kelsea Ballerini delivers the silky song from downtown Nashville, with the Cumberland River rolling by behind her.
